2019 Election Dates & Deadlines

Tuesday, November 5, 2019 – City General Election

MAYOR - Vote for One - 2 year term
CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS - Vote for Three - 4 year term

Nominating Petitions are available at the City Clerk’s Office. The filing deadline for petitions is July 23, 2019 at 4:00PM.

Important Deadlines

  • Monday, October 21– Last day to register to vote by mail.  A person may register by mail at their County or local Clerk’s Office or any Secretary of State Branch Office. 
  • Tuesday, October 22 through 8:00PM on November 5 – A person may register to vote in-person at their local City Clerk’s Office with proof of residency. Those registering to vote during this time are eligible for an Absent Voter Ballot.
  • Friday, November 1 at 5:00PM– Deadline for a voter to request an Absent Voter Ballot to be mailed by first class mail.
  • Monday, November 4 at 4:00PM – Deadline for registered voters to request an Absent Voter Ballot in-person at the Clerk’s Office.  Photo ID will be requested. Voters are not allowed to leave with the ballot on this day and must vote the ballot in person at City Hall.
