Temporary Sign Permit
Temporary accessory signs (signs that
pertain to the property on which they are located) are permitted
within all business districts and within a light industrial
district. Temporary wall signs may be erected for a period
of 14 days each, not more than four times within any 12-month
period. They may be no larger than 36 square feet, and may not
extend beyond the wall to which they are attached. Temporary
freestanding signs are only permitted as grand opening signs.
These cannot not be greater than 16 square feet; in area not more
than four (4) feet above the ground, and must have a setback of at
least 10 feet from the property line. This option is available
only within six months of the issuance of a certificate of
occupancy.
Temporary sign permits cost $10 and must be
obtained at the Zoning Division.
