Youth Theatre Presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast April 26 – 29 at the Costick Center

The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast from April 26 through 29 at the Costick Center, located at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road.  Beauty and the Beast features over 150 young actors from Farmington Hills and surrounding communities.
This “tale as old as time” tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.  Disney’s 1991 Academy Award-winning animated film Beauty and the Beast has remained a fan favorite.  Adapted for the stage, the musical includes all of the film’s memorable songs as well as a few new ones.  Original songs include “Be Our Guest,” “Gaston,” and the title song, “Beauty and the Beast.”
Performances are on Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.; and Sunday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door; children three and under are free.  Purchase tickets at, at the Costick Center at 28600 W. The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre was created as a program of the City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division in 2003 and supports beginner and seasoned actors in developing life-long skills that build self-esteem, confidence, and the ability to work with others.  The Farmington Hills Youth Theatre is provided in conjunction with In the Mitten Productions.  For more information, call the Cultural Arts Division at 248-473-1856.
