March into Spring with Art Classes for Youth and Adults

The City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division is offering day and evening art classes for youth and adults beginning the week of March 5 at the Heritage Park Stable Art Studio and Longacre House, located at 24915 Farmington Road.
Both beginner and advanced students are welcome, with small classes accommodating one-on-one instruction.  Offerings include three to six-week classes and one-day workshops.  Adult classes include Oil, Acrylic or Watercolor Painting, Basic Drawing, Pastels, Ceramics, Digital Photography, and Photoshop.
The Cultural Arts Division is also hosting a one-day workshop in Hand Lettering with Jenny Rhode of JMR Lettering Design.  The popular three-week Art Class Sampler begins April 7; it’s perfect for anyone wishing to explore a variety of techniques in ceramics, drawing, and painting.
Youth art classes are offered on weekday evenings and weekends.  Weeknight classes include Ceramics for Youth and Youth Drawing.  Little DaVincis art class, a parent/child class for three to five year olds, meets on Saturday mornings.  In lieu of a babysitter, enroll your kids ages six to 12 in the Parents’ Night Out workshops where they will enjoy fun and creative projects.  Each workshop has a special theme; the February 16 event will focus on the Olympics.
