Welcome to the all new Farmington Hills Golf Club.
We hope your visit will be a pleasurable experience! The
Farmington Hills Department of Special Services will serve as your
host and will be here to try and accommodate your needs. We
feel that we have accomplished a lot, but at the same time we will
continue to try and improve daily to make this the best golfing
venue you have ever enjoyed.
History
The old San Marino Golf Course was opened in 1963 and purchased
by the City in 1978. In 1990 and again in 1996, the
residents identified expanding San Marino to 18 holes as a high
priority in a community survey of recreational needs. In
June of 1998 the City acquired the Eleven Pines property following
an extensive environmental review. In 1999 the City also
acquired twenty acres of school property adjacent to San Marino.
This purchase made it possible to include a driving range to the
new development.
These events laid the ground work to build a new nine holes, a
beautiful new clubhouse and totally rebuild a redesigned nine
holes on the San Marino property. A tunnel was built under
Halsted Road to link both nines and a new golf and parks
maintenance campus with buildings was built on the southwest
corner of the golf course.
Driving Range
The Driving Range is open daily from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM,
weather permitting, from early spring until late fall. It has 32
stations, grass tees, and 2 practice greens. Automated ball
dispensers accept $1, $5, or $10 bills. Small, medium, large, and
extra larges buckets of balls are available. Discounted prepaid
cards are also available. For more information, call (248)
476-5910.
Clubhouse
The classic clubhouse includes a full-service restaurant, pro
shop, and a huge outdoor patio that provides great views of the
gently rolling hills, pristine greens and giant pine trees
featured on the course.
